Welcome back–Tram is OPEN!
Cabin owners are slowly filtering back, the ice is out on the lakes, and Hotel Shoreham is open and serving our favorites. Now is a good time to pay those LMSA dues if you have not already. The association has been hard at work all winter, and because of that effort the Tram will be OPEN this summer. Our dues will help fund the day to day operation so please consider sending in your dues ASAP. See you on the lakes!
Help Needed!! Buoys on Melissa
Help is needed in removing the buoys on Melissa ASAP. We need to get them out before freeze up. If you have your boat still out and are willing to do this please contact Vicky Williams at 218-847-5923. Payment will be involved for your time and effort.
Association Building Closed
Melissa Sallie Office Closing: Last week’s sale was wildly successful and our inventory is depleted. Therefore, the Office will not be open for the rest of the summer. Next year we will have all new and updated inventory. Those who have not yet paid their dues can deliver the check to Jim Bond or mail it to Mel/Sal Association, PO Box 1003, Detroit Lakes, MN 56501

Head Beach Captain Information
NEW HEAD BEACH CAPTAINS FOR MELISSA AND SALLIE
In an effort to enhance communication on important issues to the Association with our Beach Captains we have decided to designate Head Beach Captains for each of our beautiful lakes. These Head Beach Captains will work closely with our Vice President, Susan Roberts, on Beach Captain responsibilities to include important Association communications, membership growth, and critical Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) issues, among others. The new Head Beach Captains for Melissa will be Carole and Paul Schornack, long time members and residents on Dakotah Beach. The Head Beach Captains for Sallie will be Kathy and Rick Michaelson, well known in the Detroit Lakes area and residents on McDonough Beach. We are very fortunate to have these great volunteers agree to accept these new positions, and all of us look forward to working with them to increase the effectiveness of our Association.
Warm Regards,
Mike Becraft
